Hi Everyone,
We recently returned from California filming some new material for our future DVDs and I thought I would share some of the time lapse sequences that I captured from LA and the desert at Joshua Tree National Park.
These are still very much a work in progress and quite a random collection of unedited clips, I’m hoping to to have a short film edited soon but just thought I would share these with you in the meantime.
We would also like to thank Jeffery & Nikki from Faded & Blurred for their help in California organising equipment for our rigs and helping with the filming permits at Joshua Tree National Park. For those of you who haven’t visited Faded & Blurred then check it out as it’s an amazing creative resource for photographers. You can also read what they wrote on us here www.fadedandblurred.com
If you like the short video below please share it around, we are happy the more people see our stuff! Soon we will be releasing new material, including the short film that we are working on and obviously the brand new DVDs this summer!
Hope you enjoy
Karl.

Hi Karl,
Quote “These are still very much a work in progress and quite a random collection of unedited clips,” I wish I could knock up something as cool as this and it still be a work in progress! Love it, can’t wait to see the finished product!

Hey Karl
Look forward to the release of your new material. Are you doing a follow up to the introduction, Landscape and Advanced collection?
Hope they are really successful as for someone who puts so much back into helping develop and inspire people you deserve it!
Good Luck
Justin

Hi Karl, Nice work. Reminds me a bit of A-ha video Foot of The Mountain. http://youtu.be/m36SBHLmYXc. There’s some great time lapse stuff on youtube of the Northern Lights too and Burrard-Lucas (wildlife photographers) did some good timelapse on the Great Wilderbeast Migration in Africa. I think I may have that button on my new dslr may give it a go myself. I Look forward to receiving my dvds from you and have shared your link with facebook friends!
Great set of timelapse clips – I particularly liked the moonrise shot.
Hi Karl
Nice time-lapse.
I love doing time-lapse, but I always find it difficult to get the rigtig interval.
How many fps do you play it with?
what is the interval between the pictures? I guess you use different intervals in the video?
Michael
Wow That looks great! I’ve been experimenting with time laps but some things just don’t seem to work for me.
How did you get the movement in the video? Is that camera on a rail? And as the last person (Michael) says, how many shot did you take per minute? The shot with the cactus is fantastic and looks great when the moon comes up! Did you manually change the settings every time or is that post processing?
I am looking forward to seeing more time lapse videos!
Frank
wonderful
well job done Karl
thank you
Thanks for the inspiration Karl, excellent as usual.
What is the name of the piece of music used in the California Time Lapse ?
Karl, Truly a work of art. you really are an inspiration to me and I venture to say, a lot of other photographers or those that want to be photographers. Keep up the great work, and yes your talents are truly amazing.
Wicked stuff…… love to know how, and give it a go meself…
