Hi Guys, I know it’s been ages since I’ve posted so my apologies for that! We have all been exceptionally busy in the last couple of months putting the final touches on some new titles and finishing the edit on my short film “No Regrets”.

I’d love you to read more about the film and the behind the scenes info. The film is a 10 minute short and features the haunting music “Heaven” by Unkle, so make sure your speakers are on! We were ecstatic to learn that “No Regrets” won best overall video in the Vzaar video festival judged by renowned Hollywood director Oliver Stone!  We’ve set up a separate website for the film http://www.karltaylormovie.com where you can watch it and learn more, I hope you enjoy it and look forward to your feedback.

All the best

Karl.

Watched the film. Nice. I could see the techniques you used in your videos being employed. I haven’t done much with video, only still.

Karl, as always you produce some amazing work. I love the overall tone, depth, and feel to this piece. I love how you incorporated your time lapse Photography into it as well. Nice mix. Congrats on the award.

PS I plugged your site to a tech columnist recently. They were talking about Photography apps for the iPhone and I made sure to plug your iPhone apps! I love em! Saved my arse a couple times on a shoot. Thank you for all that you do!

Thanks to everyone for your feedback, much appreciated. I’m glad you enjoyed the camera work, it was a very interesting exercise working with moving images. In many ways it’s much more forgiving than stills as the motion can hold your attention even if the aesthetics of the visual are average but in others more challenging in making a story and an edit that will also hold your attention for the duration! I don’t think that we had a particularly strong story line (that’s why I left it open to interpretation) but I do think the visual choices and aesthetics have worked well. The time lapse work was also very enjoyable and something that I will be focusing on more in the future.
